Gaia Estate is produced from Agiorgitiko grapes cultivated in the 7ha vineyard at Koutsi village of Nemea, at an altitude of 550m. Cultivating with care the vineyard, keeping yields in low levels, paying great attention to the extraction phase and using high-technology equipment, it is given the chance to the ripe Agiorgitiko grape to express its powerful character at full strength. The new wine matures for at least 12 months in new French barriques (225lt) and is bottled without prior treatment such as chilling or filtration in order to preserve the best of all its essential elements.
Gaia Estate has a deep red-black colour, complex aromatic profile, good structure and great volume. Without a doubt, under proper cellar conditions it continues to evolve into an even better and more highly structured wine for at least a decade. Someone should be patient with this wine, if he wants to discover its real personality. Enjoy it at 16o-18oC with game and spicy meat plates.
