Batasiolo, Barolo D.O.C.G, Cerequio, Red 2016, 750ml

Beni di Batasiolo winery currently owns 156 hectares of vineyards, scattered across 5 different Barolo cruises.
The bottles of this bottle come exclusively from the cru Cerequio, which is located in the community of La Morra.
Here the soils are lighter than on the east side of Barolo, making Nebbiolo a little more "light" and fragrant, but without lacking in complexity, depth and aging dynamics.
The harvest was done manually and the wine aged for 2 years in Slavic oak barrels and another 1 year in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
On the nose, the finesse and sophistication impress, with the wine every minute that passes in our glass unfolding more and more aromas.
Red and black cherry, cranberry, plum and strawberry contribute to the "backbone" of the fruit, with hints of licorice, anise, tobacco, leather, mushroom and balsamic to be just some of the aromas we will encounter.
A wine that can very easily "take" a place in your preserver and enjoy it after a few years, although you can easily consume it much more immediately.
It should be transfused 30 to 40 minutes before serving, at a temperature between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius.
