Finca Allende, Gaminde, 2015, Red, 750ml

Another red single-vineyard Rioja of the Allende winery from the village of Briones, with vines planted in 1942. Tempranillo is the only variety of this particular plot of land which is located at an altitude of 495 meters. The wine matured for 16 months in first-use French oak barrels, and was bottled unfiltered and without clarification. Quite youthful and generous on the nose, with hints of ripe blackberry and sour cherry, strawberry jam, cedar, tobacco, leather, balsamic, ink, vanilla, violet and earthy minerality.Medium to full-bodied, with pronounced acidity, warm alcohol and dense but well-integrated tannins. Drinks very pleasantly now, but can age very easily over the next 10-12 years. Decant it 30 minutes before serving, at a temperature of around 15 degrees Celsius, into a glass of red Bordeaux.
