Mikra Thira, Santorini, Assyrtiko 2020, 750ml

The winery took its name from the small island opposite Santorini which is also known as Thirasia and is a collaboration between oenologists Vangelis Gerovasiliou, Vassilis Tsaktsarlis and Ioannas Vamvakouris.
Santorini from Mikri Thira is produced from 100% Assyrtiko which comes from privately owned organic vineyards, with the first harvest taking place only in 2018.
On the nose, the wine is very typical and "shy", with aromas of lemon, lemon, white-skinned peach, pear and minerality to prevail.
On the palate, the acidity in combination with the minerality give a very nice "nerve" and intensity to the wine, but without making it inaccessible.
You can enjoy it now or keep it for a few more years, with an ideal serving temperature of 9 degrees Celsius.
