The history of the Cattier house dates back to 1625, when the family began planting vines in Chigny – les Rose, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. A fundamental principle of Cattier is that the role of Cellar Master is passed from generation to generation, keeping the philosophy unchanged over the centuries. Alexandre Cattier is the twelfth generation, taking over from his father Jean – Jacques. Cattier is a pioneer of sustainable viticulture, respecting the environment and the philosophy of the estate. Brut Rose Premier Cru has strong personality, finesse and aromatic complexity, capturing the quality of the Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir and Meunier varieties. The cuvee is mainly based on the above varieties and the use of 35% reserve wine. The nose offers a seductive bouquet of red berries and gooseberries, accompanied by ripe peach, lemon peel and nuts. In the mouth the bubbles are fine and persistent and the texture is velvety. The predominant aromas are strawberry, gooseberry, notes of yeast and brioche and finally nuts and fig. The aftertaste is long and creamy.
