Dr Loosen, Erdener Prälat GG Reserve, White 2014, 750ml

A dry Riesling from an over 90-year-old Erdener Prälat vineyard in Mosel, which is kneaded with native yeast and aged for 24 months in neutral 1,000-liter barrels in contact with the sludge.
Of course, the wine, after being bottled, does not circulate immediately, and remains in the cellars of the winery for at least another 12 months.
The terroir of the area is reflected to the maximum in this Riesling even if in 2014 it did not have the ideal conditions, and which will impress even the most demanding wine lover.
We find very good concentration, aromas of ripe lime and pink grapefruit, citrus jam, candied apricot, honeycomb, honeysuckle, petrol and of course hints of the typical minerality of the area.
Rich and greasy in the mouth, with sharp acidity which, however, is very well integrated, and impressively long aftertaste.
Ideal serving temperature is between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, it does not need a transfusion, although giving it a little time in the glass will only do it good.
