Château de Pampelonne, Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022, 750ml

Almost two centuries of history... an exceptional vineyard of almost 50 hectares facing the sea, on the edge of the famous Pampelonne beach at Ramatuelle.

A family business belonging to the de Gasquet-Pascaud family, passed down the generations. Today, Marie Pascaud, who took over from her father Edgar, is continuing the family wine-making tradition.

Château de Pampelonne, enjoyed in more than 40 countries, is considered as one of the great references of Provençal rosés.

VITICULTURE
50 ha located on a sandy soil facing the sea on the bay of Pampelonne. Average age of vines is 35 years-old. Steep slopes require manual harvest using small bins. 45 ha/hl yields.

VINIFICATION
All fruit is destemmed. The rosé is a made entirely from direct pneumatic press juice. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. No malolactic. The wine remains on its fine lees for 5 months in temp-controlled stainless steel tanks before being filtered with kieselghur (powdery diatomaceous earth) and bottled at the end of February.

TASTING NOTES
Starts with notes of underripe citrus but slowly unfolds to show hints of cranberry, tart cherries, peach and citrus, together with a long, refreshing finish.
